Best Roofing of Virginia did a wonderful job on the roof replacement for my families home in Virginia Beach. Tim, the project manager, was awesome and Tyler was very honest. Clean up was immaculate. Replacing a complicated roof is stressful but Tyler and his team were very detail focused, including coming to prep my home the day before the job. They covered my deck, put large tarps over part of my pool, and even placed blocks around the sprinkler heads in my flower beds. GL C819 days agoWe had a great experience using Best Roofing to replace our 20 year old roof. Working with Ty was wonderful. He took his time to carefully explain to us all that needed to be done. Ty is very detail oriented person and picked up on the smallest issues that needed to be addressed (for example, how to get the materials on the roof and work around the power lines coming into the house.) He laid out everything before we signed the contract and when the roof was completed there were no surprises added to our cost. Ty was on site each day and great to work with. He is an asset to this company. I also want to give a shout out to his amazing roofing crew led by Edgar. These men put in 3 solid days of work in 80+ degree weather and did a fabulous job. BL S1449 days agoI have been on a journey the past few weeks with a roofing company that absolutely shined with my 60+ year old home located in Larkspur neighborhood of Virginia Beach. I have dealt with many trades persons over the years as I have lived in this home for 30+ years. Over the years I have had 4 rooms added and remodeled 4 bathrooms by various companies large and small and/or construction handymen. Search for the “Best” My 12 year old roof had several leaks last year which I used a different company that repaired them but took almost a month to get them fixed. When those leaks appeared again recently along with others I decided to put a new roof on and new gutters. I contacted 3 roofing companies. I decided to take my time in choosing the company that would install the new roof and gutters. Two of the companies took almost a week to call me back when I used their online quote service. I already had a call back on the same day with the owner from the company that I eventually hired----Best Roofing of Virginia. The owner said he would send out Ty Cox, his best estimator, who would be the lead supervisor for my project. We agreed on a time that Ty would be out to my home. Found the “Best” Ty arrived at my home 10 minutes before our planned meeting. “Impressive start” as most in the construction business operates on or about a hour timeframe. I brought him into the attic to show the leaks and he wanted to see the wood planks 1”x 8” x 10’ that the main house frame had. I said I told him I was disappointed with the previous roof as I thought it should have lasted longer. We both went up on the roof and walked it and he pointed out many issues…After an hour of educating me about roof he said he would have a quote in two days.. Installing the “Best” I talked with all three roofing companies about their quotes. Only Ty from Best Roofing of Virginia would go into detail on how/why he quoted a ridge vent system with additional soffits in the eaves over the box vents I had and the drip edge along the edges of the roof. I liked Ty’s attention to detail and his very respectful conversational manner. He emphasized he has used the same roofing crew for the past 9 years. On the morning of the install they were scheduled to start at 7am which all 11 of them were on time. Each of them knew exactly what they had to do and began without direction. I have a lot of roof space 4400sq ft and yet they finished the roofing job by dusk. They came back the next morning to finish some flashings and to do a through clean up job around the house and in next door neighbors yard for any loose debris. I had several wood planks/sheets that had to be replaced because of moisture or brittle because of age. During that process they would show me the wood and the location on the roof that they were replacing. Yes it added cost but their price for wood per linear foot was far better and fair than the other two quotes. A few days later the gutter installer came and measured for the fascia and gutters downspouts to be installed. Older homes can be a challenge which Ty saw that the main Eave board behind my garage was slightly bowed which would create a gap for water to run behind the gutter. Ty figured out a method to keep water from going behind the gutter which included additional time a small amount of stripping but no extra charge. Recommending the “Best” I have been through a rain storm and no roof leaks and the gutters are operating as they should. Ty is the type of person that takes pride in his work and he expects those that he supervises to do the same. You can see in the way that he takes time to listen to and explain the ins and outs of roofing, venting system, roof lines and gutters. Best Roofing of Virginia’s price was fair and in line with one of the other quotes. Ty responded to everyone of my text messages when I had a question or comment always on the same day. This company has my highest recommendation…Oh yea there is a military discount that the GAF manufacture will refund to you after your roof is registered+5Posted on Google

Any issues they found they immediately called me and let me know what was going on. They went above and beyond with this installation. They came back a few days later and installed new gutters. After receiving several quotes from various local roofing companies, we decided to go with Best Roofing because of their competitive prices and the project manager, Ty, was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and gave thorough detailed answers to help us understand every step of the process. He made us feel confident that they not only knew what they were doing but also had our best interests at heart. We were extremely pleased throughout the entire process. Ty went above and beyond to help us make an informed decision on the various options that would best suite our roofing needs. He was always available to communicate, respectful, on time, and positive to interact with. It was also reassuring that the company owner, Don, stopped by to check on the work being done. Jeff W1948 days agoI just used Best Roofing of Virginia to replace our roof and they did an outstanding job. They gave me the lowest estimate and backed it up in their final price. We had some growth work when they removed they old roof but this was discussed and agreed to prior to starting the job. The crew started at 7:00 am and worked until 8:30 pm to finish the job. Cindi Courter2196 days agoIn 1996, my Dad put a new roof on our home...We squeaked as much life out of the 25 year old roof that we felt comfortable with, especially when one of the vent covers blew off in April...So, last week, we got a new roof! Being a retired contractor, we got 3 estimates. All 3 were close, however no other company had the training and certifications from GAF. The details that went into the job were amazing, professional materials, workmanship, and immaculate clean up! Wow! What an amazing job by Don at Best Roofing, and the very talented and professional crew. It was like Instant Roof... They arrived at 7am, had it all off by noon and done by 4PM! Quality work done by ethical professionals who are driven by quality and integrity rather than profit. Don took the time to explain the whole roofing process and answer my questions and helped pick out my shingles. The crew were prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Materials arrived on day 1 and roof was complete from start to finish on day 2. They took the time to protect my yard and landscaping while working and cleaned up all the nails and debris when finished. They even replaced all the patio furniture and plants they removed from my deck for protection before leaving! I plan on calling Beat Roofing for new gutters next year! The initial roof inspection, survey, and estimate took about an hour that included a detailed explanation of work to be completed and warranties. Once the contract was signed, was notified in just over a week for an upcoming installation date that met my needs. Roof tear-down and replacement was all completed in three days, including a rain day. The roof was left ready for an anticipated rain at the end of day one. The crew did a great job of protecting the house and surrounding plants during installation and a great job cleaning up. Ginger Power37 days agoBest roofing was very responsive to my emergency leaks in my rental and took the time to find the leaks with a couple visits. I have a flat roof so it needed to dry out some in order to detect the problems . My tenant just reported that after a recent big storm, there were no leaks so very happy with Bst Roofing’s work! From the very first phone conversation this contractor was professional, courteous, and easy to communicate with. He arrived on time, listened carefully to my concerns, inspected the roof thoroughly, and took the time to explain what he was seeing in a way that was clear and easy to understand. Jeremy patiently listened to my concerns and responded with professionalism and care. It mattered to him that I didn’t feel that I was being taken advantage of in any way. As a woman, I appreciated that Jeremy did “man-splain” at any point and he did not make the process feel rushed or pressured at any point. The estimate was provided promptly and included helpful details about the recommended work, materials, and overall scope of the project. And he followed up frequently to make sure that no assumptions were made on my part; that he covered everything clearly and thoroughly. Compared with other contractors I met, this experience stood out because of his honesty, experience, attention to detail, and willingness to answer questions. I met with a total of six other roofing companies and his quote came in exactly where I expected it to be; not too low (where costs would get added at the end, inflated after they low-balled me to capture our business) and not so high that I would know that I was being ripped off in comparison to all of the other quotes. Overall, the entire process was smooth, informative, and reassuring. The roofing products were of high quality with everything that we were initially concerned about. I am happy to write this review after having spent time with Jeremy over time in person, via text messaging and over the phone. Jeremy explained in detail the work that would be completed and the things that other roofing companies wanted to charge me for. They were very instrumental in removing my solar panels and reinstalling better than before! Removed Directv dish and reinstalled with no issues or downtime! Their price was exceptionally well below that of other roofing companies. Not only was roofing completed in one day along with cleanup, but they came out next day to walk my grounds and ensure property was clean of debris! Barbara Hawthorne317 days agoOutstanding service from Tyler and his crew. I called Best Roofing of Va Repairs based upon a Google search for the best roofers in VA Beach. I called the company and Jeremy came out ..he asked to go into the attic..from that moment I was sold. My roof had multiple leaks as well as a leak into my fireplace. Jeremy looked at the flashing and made recommendations for that repair as well. After talking with Jeremy I knew that this was the company to go with. I originally called another roofing company but thought it would be best to get another opinion. Im glad I did. I would highly recommend this company. They came out and repaired my roof . Jeremy took the time to access my roof, from inside the attic and then he went onto the roof. After that he made his recommendations and gave me a quote. The other roofing company I originally called never went into the attic, he only looked at the roof and then gave me a quote. Sue Lemmon324 days agoUpdated Review 10/25 After 8 years (November 2024) we had to have the roof replaced due to the deterioration of the plywood under the shingles. We had a master roofer looking at a problem with drainage and the gutters and when he was on the roof it was very squishy under his feet. We ended up replacing almost all of the plywood on the roof because it was not adequately protected. Shingles lasting 30 years is one thing but the underlying structure has to be sound as well. We interviewed 3 companies who were rated well on Angies List. They all responded in a timely manner. We decided to go with Best Roofing of Virginia because the project manager, Than Nguyen, seemed the most knowledgeable about the needs of our structures in order to make them sound. His presentation was very detailed and included concerns about properly ventilating the roof in order to prolong the useful life of the new roof. Because of on again, off again rain, it was difficult to nail down a date to perform the work. However, Than stayed in contact with us on a regular basis and scheduled the work as quickly as the weather would allow. The garage and barn were done one day and the house 2 days later. The crew of 4 who did the work were punctual, skilled and kept the premises tidy during the work and after they were done each day. The garage and barn were done in less than 4 hours. The 2100 sf house was completed in about 10 hours. They were very thorough in cleaning up debris and nails when finished.Posted on Google

Gray Finnegan329 days agoI called around because my roof was leaking, and many companies weren't really even interested unless I wanted an entirely new roof. Luckily, Best Roofing was able to send someone out, and in a relatively short time. Jeremy showed up and carefully listened to all my concerns, and I began to realize that he was not just here to make a buck, but was really here to fix my roofing problems. After a careful assessment he gave me an estimated cost that was very reasonable. However, once he got to work he realized that the damage was not as extensive and the actual work cost even LESS! It's so difficult to find people you can trust with these types of things these days, but I will never let anyone within 100 yards of my room except Best Roofing of VA from here on. Jackie Moran334 days agoThis company held up to my incredibly high standards and executed an impeccable job without flinching at my demands for precise clean perfection. My husband should take notes! My grandmother's Victorian once again has a gleaming and sturdy roof, done by a team of courteous and hard working people. The project was completed in a moderately short time, the work itself was flawless and the pricing was fair. I plan on using this company again in the near future.Posted on Google
dale donselar334 days agoYou got a hole in your roof or the whole dang things caved in, my advice is call these guys. I just had a kid and I dont got time to haggle or pick n choose. Vanessa Driss339 days agoOk here's the deal.. I'm single stressed and 5 months pregnant so when I saw what mother nature did to my roof I followed my instincts - I sat on the ground and cried. lol! A friend told me to call these guys so I did and explained to them in a calm, rational and totally not hormonal way, exactly how my world was crashing down on me, much like my roof 🤣🤣 The woman I spoke to ( her name was Cierra) listened, didn't judge, and guided me through the rebuilding process. Call it mood swings but I went from despair and hopelessness to relief, faith and excitement after coming up with a plan to save my little house. Something I thought seemed impossible and would definitely take forever was done so much faster than I expected and done RIGHT. my roof never looked this good and they worked with me to give me a price that my struggling butt (and growing belly) could actually afford! I really recommend these guys, because they do the damn thing , they know their stuff and they actually care about the people they're helping! 10/10 👌Posted on Google
Emily340 days agoI rarely write reviews, but these guys were great. Fixed a leak in our roof a few months ago and have had no problems since. They were able to fix it very quick (next day) to avoid the upcoming storms and at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommendPosted on Google

First and foremost, with Best Roofing Company you are going to get a high-quality roof at a fair price. I love the way my new roof looks, and I know it is going to last us for a long time. However, what really impressed me is Best Roofing's ability to tackle uncommon challenges. I came to Best Roofing Company for a roof replacement, but we also had a very specific problem we needed fixed. We have a gambrel room with flat dormers, meaning, when it rained, our upstairs windows and sills were virtually unprotected (even with rain diverters in place). The beating on the window sills was extremely annoying, hard to sleep through, and we wanted it solved. I explained this to three other roofing companies who admitted there was little they could do. Best Roofing Company was the only one who guarenteed they would find a solution. They even told us that this would be a great opportunity to show they could take on unique roofing projects. When the issue was not initially resolved, they came back to my house on three separate occasions, extending the rain diverters and eventually installing drip edges, which created a "mini gutter" that signficaintly helped. Their persistance and ingenuity on this project was amazing, and I am in incredibly grateful for their willingness to try again and again until they found something that worked. The manager Thanh Nguyen performed the estimate while explaining everything without being pushy. He was helpful and communicated everything throughout the whole job from start to finish.
